Oregon State WIT Rally

September  23-26, 2010

Polk County Fairgrounds

Rickreall, Oregon

Once again we invite all of our WIT members and friends to make plans to head for Rickreall, Oregon to attend our 39th Annual WIT Rally hosted by the Oregon Trail Winnies & Itascas (OTWI) State WIT Club and supported by the six Oregon Local WIT Chapters.

Our theme for 2010 is “Lumberjack Romp”, dictionary defined as one who fells trees and transports the timber to a mill, and to play or frolic in a boisterous, lively way.  The definition needs a little modification to suit our purposes, so one who transports their motor coach to the Rally to play and frolic in a boisterous, lively way.

Early registration will be available Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. The rally itself will begin early Thursday morning with an opening ceremony at 8:30 AM and registration for late comers beginning at 9:00 AM.   Our first seminars will start at 9:30 AM on Thursday. Events this year will include a variety of seminars, the ever-popular Red Hat Tea, Arts & Crafts Classes, indoor and outdoor games, Arts & Crafts judging, vendors with “got to have” products, raffles, games,  door prizes, great food, and whatever else we can think of to fill your days and evenings with fun, friendship, and useful information!  Of course our Winnebago and Itasca dealers will have coaches on display and should be ready to offer great deals on both new and previously-owned coaches.

Your rally registration fee includes three and a half days of activities (Thursday morning through Noon Sunday), three nights camping (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) with electric and water hook-ups (one-time dump available on grounds), rally bag, rally pin, dinners Thursday, Friday and Saturday, fresh baked pastries Thursday and Friday mornings, lunch Friday and Saturday, a full breakfast on Saturday, and a continental breakfast on “Get-Away” Sunday.  We do not include a Wednesday night camping charge in the overall registration fee since a large portion of attendees arrive Thursday morning, even though they miss the opening ceremony and some morning activities.  We treat Wednesday night camping as an early arrival and charge a separate $10.00 fee, thus keeping it optional for the local members who prefer it that way.

In order to ensure allocation of appropriate space, vendors must pre-register by contacting OTWI 1st Vice-President, Bob Schlapfer at  541-772-3505, or at res1934@charter.net.
